Anonymous Reviewer for Session Submissions

The Gist: This bi-annual role involves reviewing and helping select submissions for our live events — the PaRADigm and SYNC.
Time Commitment:  Volunteers should expect to dedicate 2–4 hours during this time frame. 

Roundtable Moderator (Live and Virtual Events) 

The Gist: Moderators lead discussions for virtual and in-person sessions. Moderators will be given topics to assist with sessions.
Time Commitment: These sessions occur throughout the calendar year, typically lasting 45 minutes - 1 hour.

I LEAD Feedback Volunteer (PaRADigm Onsite) 

The Gist: Attend the I LEAD capstone presentations and provide constructive, encouraging feedback to participants.
Time Commitment: Must be registered for PaRADigm, assigned a specific session to attend, 45 minutes - 1 hour.

Student or New-Member Q&A Buddy 

The Gist: Host a virtual coffee chat with a new member or student interested in the business side of radiology. 
Time Commitment: Throughout the calendar year, 15-20 minute Zoom meeting.

CONNECT Ambassador

The Gist: Actively engage in RBMA CONNECT by answering unanswered threads, tagging relevant individuals, and promoting additional platform benefits. Ambassadors should also maintain a complete RBMA profile. 
Time Commitment: Varies, you decide! 


Annual Meeting Greeter

The Gist: Greeters assist the Registration Desk and Education team at live events, helping participants find locations and answering questions. Volunteers lead conversations, direct attendees, and assist with inquiries about sessions or specialty events. 
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours onsite at 2026 PaRADigm (volunteers will receive assigned time/location, alongside questions)

RAD Honors Judge

The Gist: Judges assist in reviewing and selecting RAD Honors award winners leading up to PaRADigm. 
Time Commitment: Volunteers should plan for 2-3 hours of judging assignments over the course of 2 weeks.

Bulletin Article Author

The Gist: Contribute articles for the bi-monthly RBMA Bulletin. Writers are assigned topics based on their section or area of expertise by editorial advisors. 
Time Commitment: Varies per edition deadline.

RAD Influencer (Social Media)

The Gist: RAD Influencers use their social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) to highlight RBMA and upcoming events, helping to expand outreach and engagement within their networks. 
Time Commitment: Varies, you decide!

Micro-Volunteer FAQ


When do I hear about being selected for a Micro-Volunteer Opportunity? 

Members will be emailed by the respective RBMA staff handling the current micro volunteer opportunity closer to the event via email. Certain opportunities will need additional prep, such as Greeters, which will host a Zoom meeting.
 
Will I be given materials or assistance for any of these opportunities? 
Yes! RBMA Staff will providing supplemental material for volunteers. Example language for posting, directions for judging assignments, or training for in-person events. 

If something changes in my schedule, will I still be able to do another micro-volunteer opportunity? 
Of course! Micro Volunteer opportunities were made to be flexible based on your schedule. At anytime something changes, please reach out to volunteer@rbma.org

Are there any macro-level opportunities open to Volunteers?
Yes! RBMA has over 11 committees that volunteers can be involved in, alongside over 18 Chapters that you can be involved in. Be sure to look out for the Call for Volunteers, which is open each Fall.
