In additional to CPT(R) procedure codes there are other codes that radiology providers must use to appropriately report provided services. Category III codes and HCPCS codes are special codes that must be used in a variety of circumstances including, but not limited to, the location of where services are provided. This session will review these codes and how they are appropriately utilized for imaging services to ensure correct coding practices. Additionally, HCPCS modifiers will be reviewed with a special focus on the JW modifier to ensure no revenue is lost on discarded injectable waste.
