MIPS Value Pathways

CMS has received feedback about the complexity of MIPS and acknowledges the program is burdensome, because it is difficult to compare clinicians’ performance, and lacks patient-focused measures. Efforts have been made to address these concerns and to streamline the program; however, CMS is now focusing on more substantive changes. In this session, hear how CMS intends to shift MIPS to a subset of measures and activities called MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs) which are aligned sets of measures that are more relevant to a clinician’s scope of practice.
