Threats, Vulnerabilities, and Consequences in Cybersecurity
Threats, Vulnerabilities, and Consequences in Cybersecurity
Speaker:
David Miller, Chief Administrative Officer, ImagineSoftware
The risk of cyber-attacks in healthcare is high. In addition to the lone hacker, organized criminal groups and nation-states target health care organizations. And when a single healthcare data record may be up to 50 times as valuable as a credit card record, it is easy to understand why. In this session, you will learn to think about risk as a function of three variables: threats, vulnerabilities, and consequences. You also will gain a better understanding of mitigation strategies that your organization can apply today to help lower some of the associated risks.
David Miller joined ImagineSoftware in 2018 after 25 years in government service. As Imagine’s Chief Administrative Officer, he is responsible for managing operations and strategy execution as well as overseeing the following departments and programs: information technology, implementation, legal and risk, corporate security programs, and learning and development.
David retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation immediately prior to joining Imagine. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Public Administration, both from the University of Alabama.
