Payor Relations Committee
The Gist: Increases the communication, coordination and cooperation of administrators, managers and radiologists on issues concerning government and private payors.
Time Commitment: Monthly one hour calls, on-site meeting at PaRADigm (preferred).
Meeting Times: Third Friday of every month, 11 a.m. ET
Desired Skill Set: Interest in insurance payor payment policy issues as it relates to radiology (sample issues include: steerage policy, benefit management organizations, payor payment issues and member education related to payor payment issues).
Program Education Subcommittee
The Gist: Members identify topics, develop programming content, review, and make final selections of programming content for in-person events including but not limited to PaRADigm and SYNC (new Fall 2022 Program).
Time Commitment: The committee meets monthly. Approximately 8-10 hours per month is also required based on program planning. Program planning includes the annual meeting (PaRADigm) and quarterly mini-conferences or workshops. The ability to work and communicate with an assigned group is required.
Meeting Times: Third Tuesday of every month, 3-4 p.m. ET
Desired Skill Set: Members identify timely and relevant topics, collaborate to develop programming content, help craft Calls for Proposals, review submissions, and coach to prioritize educational content for in-person events including PaRADigm and SYNC (new Fall Program introduced in 2022).
Vendor Committee
The Gist: Identify and develop broad opportunities for corporate partners to promote their services and share educational expertise with members.
Time Commitment: Monthly conference calls annually each lasting 60 minutes or less.
Meeting Times: Varies
Desired Skill Set: Sales and marketing knowledge, practice management, creative out of the box thinking.
Other Information: Aiming for a blend of vendors and practice leaders.
Virtual Education Subcommittee
The Gist: Members will review, identify topics, analyze, and evaluate programming for all online learning opportunities such as but not limited to webinars, training products, virtual Coding Series (Spring Forward, Coding Academy, Fall Virtual Bootcamp), and content in the RBMA store.
Time Commitment: The committee meets monthly. Approximately 3-4 hours per month is also required based on program planning. RBMA’s digital learning footprint has increased. Seek individuals willing to commit to this initiative with new ideas, ‘hot’ topics, and new ways to engage attendees online.
Meeting Times: Fourth Tuesday of every month, 3-4 p.m. ET
Desired Skill Set: Experts from all aspects of the radiology business management community are welcome. Seeking individuals who know the industry and its needs, evaluating existing and new content, development of new products, and familiarity with online learning.
Young Professionals Subcommittee
The Gist: Focused on engaging and recruiting a younger generation of radiology business professionals into the RBMA community.
Time Commitment: Bi-Monthly Conference Calls (1 hour); special assigned projects throughout the year (30 minutes maximum 4 times per year; attendance at PaRADigm (preferred).
Meeting Times: First Thursday bi-monthly odd months at 3 p.m. ET
Desired Skill Set: Desire to foster connections, passion for engaging younger professionals, creative thinking, networking, outgoing, future leader.
Other Information: Looking for a diverse representation of radiology industry professionals.
