RBMA Announces New Executive Directors and Co-Leadership Model

The Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) Board of Directors has made the decision to shift to a shared leadership structure featuring two Co-Executive Directors. From its early beginnings, the RBMA has been an organization of collaboration, working together to solve industry problems and further radiology practices and patient care. This new leadership structure reflects RBMA’s collaborative spirit.

The Board has selected Jessica Struve, CAE and Linda Wilgus, CPA, CMPE, FRBMA to lead the organization’s next chapter. Struve is currently serving as the association’s Deputy Executive Director. Throughout her 20-year career in association management, Struve has served in numerous roles, notably increasing participation from Millennial and GenZ members and expanding chapter programming. Struve is a graduate of Elizabethtown College and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Leadership Academy. She obtained her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in June 2014. In 2017, Struve was recognized as one of Association Forum's 40 Under Forty.
Wilgus is currently the Executive Director/CFO of Northwest Radiology Network, a private practice radiology group located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Linda is an honors graduate of Indiana University, with High Distinction in the School of Business and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Wilgus is a past president of RBMA and has served on the following advisory boards: Executive Women in Healthcare, Radiology Business Managers Association, Indiana Radiology Business Managers Association, Gennesaret Free Clinics and Cancer Support Community. Wilgus is a 2013 graduate of the Richard G. Lugar Leadership Program.
The Executive Search Committee, chaired by Mark Kalmar, FRBMA, CEO of Texas Radiology Associates, started with over 100 applicants for the position and included three rigorous rounds of interviews. The model, proposed by joint candidates Struve and Wilgus, received unanimous support from the Committee and the RBMA Board of Directors.
RBMA Board President, Christopher “Kit” Crancer, Senior Vice President of Radiology & Public Policy Partnerships at RAYUS Radiology said, “This model allows RBMA the benefit of leadership with complementing professional experience from nationally recognized and exceptionally talented leaders. It also gives each leader the ability to focus on their core strengths and areas of expertise, while working collaboratively and supporting each other in service.
As Co-Executive Directors, Struve will focus on the organization’s internal operations, managing the staff, programming, and governance, while Wilgus will focus on advocacy and external relationships. “It has been an honor serving this organization for the past 12 years, and I embrace this opportunity to lead RBMA with a relentless dedication to its mission alongside Linda,” said Struve. Wilgus further shared, “Jessica and I both have a similar passion for this organization, and we look forward to bringing that forward every day as we continue the vital work of RBMA.”
Struve and Wilgus will officially take the helm on July 1, 2024, following the retirement of current Executive Director, Bob Still, FRBMA. Still has served the organization in his current role since 2017.
