Introducing a New Co-Executive Director Model at RBMA

In every change there is opportunity.

In 2024, the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) Board of Directors made the decision to shift to a shared leadership structure featuring two Co-Executive Directors.

RBMA welcomed Jessica Struve, CAE and Linda Wilgus, CPA, CMPE, FRBMA as the new Co-Executive Directors of RBMA. Jessica’s focus will lie in association governance, staff supervision and development, and the key components of association management including education, communications, chapters, membership and events.  Linda will focus on advocacy, regulatory issues, and external relationships with key industry partners. Both Jessica and Linda will be responsible for the organization’s financial management.

Linda Wilgus joins RBMA as it's co-Executive Director. Linda previously served as the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Northwest Radiology Network, a private practice radiology group in Indianapolis, Indiana for 28 years. Prior to that she had experience in healthcare consulting working in for an Indianapolis based CPA firm and also as a controller for an HCA hospital.  Linda is an honors graduate of Indiana University School of Business and received her MBA in Health Care Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Linda is a past president of RBMA, past chair of the Federal Affairs Committee and has been an active volunteer with the association.  Linda previously chaired the Advocacy Committee for Strategic Radiology. She is a 2013 graduate of the Richard G. Lugar Leadership Program. Linda has served on various boards such as Executive Women in Healthcare, Cancer Support Community, Gennesaret Free Clinics and American Cancer Society's Cancer Prevention Study program. Linda enjoys spending time with family, lake living, hiking, and biking.

Jessica Struve most recently served as the association’s Deputy Executive Director starting in March 2021. Throughout her 20-plus-year career in association management, Struve has served in numerous roles, notably increasing participation from Millennial and GenZ members and expanding chapter programming.  Struve is a graduate of Elizabethtown College and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Leadership Academy. She obtained her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in June 2014. In 2015 Struve was selected as a thought leader for the ASAE NextGen program and in 2017 she was recognized as one of Association Forum's 40 Under Forty.  Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys adventures with her husband and two young children, volunteering as a Girl Scout Troop leader, and serving as a foster for community animal rescues.

The Co-Executive Director model allows RBMA the benefit of leadership with complementing professional experience from capable leaders with varied backgrounds and experience. It also gives each leader the ability to focus on their core strengths, capacities, and expertise, while working collaboratively and supporting one another in service.
Ultimately, this model increases the capacity to give more and much needed attention to the radiology community we serve.
