Quality Reporting-MIPS and Others
Presented by: Wendy Lomers, CPA, MBA, FRBMA

Most physicians are familiar with MIPS but not necessarily where MIPS data is used.  We will look at the various ways that MIPS data affects the physicians and what makes it to the Physician Compare website.  We will also discuss how physicians will be affected if they elect to take advantage of the CARE ACT Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances and not report on MIPS for 2020.

ONC and CMS Final Rules on Interoperability, Info-Blocking - what Providers(Practices) Need to Know

Both the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) recently published their Interoperability & Patient Access Final rules. This session covers a high level review of the rules and it’s implications to Providers and practices. The session will focus on Information Blocking, new standards for interoperability like USCDI and API, Privacy and data concerns and next steps administrators will need to take in order to be ready to comply with these rules.
