Spring Forward 2020 Coding Webinar Series

The first signs of spring are upon us! This is a great time to start planting new seeds of knowledge with RBMA’s SPRING FORWARD CODING WEBINAR SERIES.

RBMA coding experts will engage and enhance your knowledge by showing you how to apply coding using various modifiers, maximizing MIPS in your practice, understanding the ins and outs in ultrasound, recognize and apply changes for PET codes, and get up to speed on the changes in nuclear medicine.

After the series, you will be renewed and ready to use your new coding skills in your practice.

Using Modifiers in Radiology
Presented by: Lori Shore, CPC, RCC, RCCIR, FRBMA

This webinar will explain some of the common, and not so commonly used modifiers in radiology and will provide case studies to understand their use. Included will be modifiers 62, 78, 79, 80, KX and many more. We will provide examples of their correct use and multiple ways in which to use different modifiers to achieve the same outcome. Do you have trouble getting transgender patients paid? We have a modifier for that! Do you understand the necessary modifiers for co-surgeons and assistant surgeons and how to use them? This webinar is for you. We will also review the new modifiers for Appropriate Use Criteria/Clinical Decision Support.

At the end of the session, you will:

• Demonstrate the proper use of many radiology modifiers and how to apply them.
• Apply their understanding of modifiers through case studies examples.
• Utilize resources to further find and understand when to use modifiers.

What A Coder Should Know to Maximize their Radiology Practice’s MIPS score
Presented by: Bethany Geiger, MBA

This webinar will briefly explain the MIPS Quality program and its importance and financial implications to your radiology client. Further, this session will explain the 'lifecycle' of a MIPS measure and how this cycle can affect your client's MIPS score. 2020 updates to the Quality program will be explained. Radiology and Interventional Radiology MIPS measures will be identified and suggestions for physician documentation improvements will be outlined. Take away from this webinar how to ensure appropriate MIPS assignment and coding accuracy!

At the end of the session, you will:

• Describe the MIPS program and how it affects your radiology practice.
• Effectively apply the MIPS Quality changes in 2020.
