Our staff committee liaisons had the challenging task of nominating three exemplary committee members who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and contributions over the past year.

Mark Canada, MHA

A dedicated leader, mentor, and advocate, Mark Canada has made an indelible mark on RBMA through his unwavering commitment and generous service. As a member of the RBMA Board of Directors, SEAC Advisory Board, and Advanced Education Subcommittee, he continuously provides strategic insights and guidance that help shape RBMA’s educational programs and initiatives.

Beyond leadership roles, Mark goes the extra mile as a reviewer for SYNC and PaRADigm Call for Proposals, ensuring RBMA’s programming remains high-quality, engaging, and impactful. His keen attention to detail and thoughtful feedback play a vital role in curating sessions that bring real value to attendees.

Always quick to reply, eager to participate, and consistently following through on commitments, he brings professionalism and enthusiasm to everything he does. David Smith

A tireless advocate and trusted resource, David Smith exemplifies the spirit of progress through sharing. With more than 25 years of experience leading large physician group practices and a deep understanding of clinical operations, payer contracting, and strategic management, he has been exceptionally generous in sharing his expertise with RBMA members.

David’s contributions on RBMA Connect—over 50 insightful posts since 2023— have provided valuable guidance on key industry challenges, from compensation structures to MIPS reporting and payer negotiations. His engagement goes beyond discussion; he actively shapes policy and advocacy efforts, serving on the Federal Affairs Committee and playing a pivotal role in RBMA’s comment letter on the 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule.

A recognized subject matter expert on the No Surprises Act (NSA), David has provided critical insights on how radiology groups can leverage the Qualified Payment Amount (QPA) as a strategic negotiation tool. His ability to translate complex regulations into practical strategies has empowered RBMA members to navigate payer dynamics with confidence.

David’s leadership, generosity, and dedication to advancing RBMA’s mission make him an outstanding candidate for Volunteer of the Year. His commitment to educating, advocating, and strengthening the community embodies what it means to be a true volunteer leader.


Jennifer Yahne, MHA, CMPE

Dedicated, generous, and always willing to step up, Jennifer Yahne is the kind of volunteer every organization hopes for. As Program Education Subcommittee Chair, she played a pivotal role in shaping SYNC 2024, PaRADigm 2025, and SYNC 2025’s call for proposals, ensuring RBMA’s educational programming remains engaging and impactful.

Jennifer’s commitment extends beyond program development. This year, she also served on the Nominating Committee, actively contributed as a panelist for the 2024 and 2025 PaRADigm Operations Masterclass, and even promoted RBMA’s benefits during a New Member Orientation Webinar. Her willingness to lead, participate, and advocate makes her an invaluable asset to the organization.
