Apply for Relief

One of the pillars of the RBMA Foundation for Education and Research is supporting friends of RBMA during difficult times. The Foundation provides financial assistance to RBMA members or RBMA member employees who have suffered catastrophic loss as a result of a natural disaster or personal catastrophic events.

The Foundation is now accepting applications  for one-time grants of up to $5,000 for RBMA members or staff of RBMA members who require assistance as a result of the following:

Hurricane Laura
On August 27, 2020, Hurricane Laura made landfall near peak intensity in Cameron, Louisiana. This was the tenth-strongest U.S. hurricane landfall by windspeed on record. The storm caused the deaths of at least 36 people in the U.S. and inflicted an estimated $8.7 billion in insured damage on southwestern Louisiana and southeastern Texas near the Gulf of Mexico.

Applications for relief relating to Hurricane Laura are due no later than Monday, Oct. 26, 2020.

West Coast Wildfires
Fires continue to ravage the west coast from California to Washington, covering expansive acreage. The specific fire incidents are too many to list - please note in your application which fire you have been affected by. If you aren't sure, please review the full list of FEMA Declared Disasters.

Applications for relief relating to wildfire damage must be submitted within 60 days of the incurred damage.
