"Walter Blackham and his coding seminars.  He always was a wealth of knowledge with a great sense of humor."  - Isabel Suire, CCS-P, RCC

I loved the RBMA and was involved in selecting our first outside management company back in the day. I taught many courses at RBMA meetings and at the RSNA on Medicare RVU’s and what they meant to the average Radiology practice. We had very a good relationship with the ACR. During that time, I was also a CMPE with the MGMA. The memories of friendships with other management professionals are wonderful. After leaving radiology management, I became a health care consultant for the largest regional CPA firm on the West Coast – Moss Adams. I did that for 5 years. I was National RBMA president in 1990-91. It was the year that we had our first “off-shore” conference in Hawaii.
Today I am teaching Math (Algebra & Geometry) at the middle school level and enjoy my time with the students and other teachers. I also am the advisor of our middle school photography club. On Saturdays during the school year, I train dogs – obedience and agility training and I am an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator. I’ve been doing this for 15 years. About 10 years ago I started a photography club in the Seattle-Tacoma area and we now have 180 club members. Photography is one of my favorite things to do. Here is a link to our club – .So you can see that I am retired in a good kind of way. My wife Pam and I have been married 51 years on April 1. We have seven grandchildren and love to travel.
