The Oxford definition of interoperability is the ability of computer systems or software to exchange and make use of information and the presentation will include an introduction to interoperability terminology. In the session, see how communication of data elements related to the performance of an imaging study is necessary for communicating results, documenting the service in the patient’s record, billing for the service, and reviewing workflow and productivity. The maximum standardization of these elements and their location in an electronic feed will result in the more efficient and effective use of them.
