Recently named RBMA Executive Director, Bob joins RBMA after 25 years as an RBMA member, a Past President, chairperson of the Federal Affairs Committee, a member of the Board of Directors and a recipient of the RBMA Calhoun Award. Bob was named an RBMA Fellow in 2014. Prior to RBMA he was practice manager for Lancaster Radiology Associates, a 32 physician diagnostic and therapeutic radiology practice in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Most recently, Bob served as the Chief Clerk of Lancaster County Pennsylvania and CEO of Brain Orthopedic Spine Specialists. Bob’s professional experience includes 15 years in non-
profit and association management, where he served as executive director of Associated Builders and Contractors of Delaware. In 1986 he was elected to the Delaware State Senate. He is a graduate of Indiana University (BS, Education, 1976) and Penn State University (Master in Management in Health Care Administration, 1998). He has also completed post graduate study in negotiation at the Harvard Law School. In his spare time Bob enjoys spending time with his wife, Barbara, at their home on Lake Wynonah and visiting their four children.
Associate Executive Director
Daphne Gawronski began working for RBMA in January of 2003. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in painting/sculpture/graphic design from the University of California, Los Angeles, Daphne pursued a career in advertising, marketing and graphic design and has worked for major companies including Teleflora, The Walt Disney Company and J. Walter Thompson Advertising. Daphne has also worked for several associations bringing to the table the balance needed to market RBMA. Daphne was an avid runner who has since transitioned to cycling and working on her golf game. Daphne enjoys exploring and hiking with her husband.
Associate Director of Data and Survey Research
Cynthia Vervena joined RBMA in 2007 after 18 years in higher education research, first in a community college institutional research office; then in a college and university human resources association, where she conducted staff and faculty salary surveys; and finally in a community college association, where she conducted research on nursing and allied health professions programs. During her time at RBMA, Cynthia has introduced the Radiology Hot Topics polls; brought the mini-Surveys in-house; and led the Accounts Receivable Performance Survey and Managers Compensation Survey, which are now part of the DataMAXX data warehouse. She has also been involved with surveys to collect data for RBMA's advocacy efforts, as well as member needs assessment surveys. Cynthia holds a master's degree in educational psychology with a concentration in educational research. In her free time, she enjoys reading mysteries and baking.
Associate Director of Membership and Innovation
Jessica S. Struve, CAE
Jessica Struve joined RBMA in April 2012 as Membership and Members' Services Manager before becoming Associate Director in 2016. She comes to RBMA with a wealth of experience gained during her nearly eight year tenure at Pennsylvania Dental Association, first as Membership Coordinator, and four years as Component Relations Manager. Jessica received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Elizabethtown College, majoring in communications with a concentration in public relations and a minor in business administration and marketing. Jessica is a graduate of the ASAE Leadership Academy Class of 2011 and served on the ASAE Young Association Executives Committee from August 2010 to July 2012. She obtained her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in June 2014. In 2015, Jessica was selected as one of only 25 young association professionals in the country to participate in the ASAE NextGen conference. Outside of the office, Jessica deeply enjoys volunteering and spending time with her husband, children and two Australian Shepherds.
Associate Director of Marketing and Meetings
Liz Mugo joined RBMA in November 2006 with over seven years’ experience in the advertising/marketing field. Prior to RBMA, Liz had worked for United Marketing Solutions, where she started off as an assistant to the vice president of franchise sales and within a year was promoted to franchise coordinator, where she managed new franchise contracts and onboarding, worked in tandem with the sales team to develop and execute marketing plans to support franchisee growth strategies as well as planned incentive programs and retreats. She then transitioned to national accounts manager a role in which she handled ad design initiatives, market research, ad placement and tracking for effectiveness and ROI, for companies such as Deer Park, Proactiv and ADT Security. She holds an Associate of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Outside of the office, Liz manages and designs florals and intelligent lighting for private events and was featured as a ‘Best of Knot’ event planner in 2010.
Executive Assistant/Office and RCCB Manager
Vickie Corder joined RBMA in June 2014 in the capacity of assistant to operations and RCCB and in April 2015 transferred to Member Services. In October of 2016, Vickie was promoted to Executive Assistant, Office Manager and RCCB Manager. Vickie brings with her over 20 years of customer service experience primarily in the corporate housing and property management industry. She spent nine years with Oakwood Corporate Housing as a national accounts coordinator assisting relocating employees and their families. In her spare time, Vickie enjoys spending time with her family, baking, attending music festivals and traveling anywhere and everywhere.
Membership and Research Coordinator
Following the completion of a Salesforce internship with a nonprofit and a marketing internship with a consulting firm, Mila joined RBMA in August 2017. She recently earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Politics from George Mason University after finishing two research projects concerning the outgrowths of poverty. In her free time, Mila can be found volunteering, cooking up a new dish, or biking around the city.
