Tour the USS Midway

Thursday, April 5, 2018
8:30 a.m.  departure from Hilton San Diego Bayfront lobby
10 a.m. first departure returning to the hotel
11:15 a.m. last departure returning to the hotel

Voted the number one thing to do in San Diego, the USS Midway is one of America’s longest-serving aircraft carriers and is berthed at the Navy Pier. Approximately 200,000 sailors served aboard the carrier, known for several naval aviation breakthroughs as well as several humanitarian missions. It was the only carrier to serve the entire length of the Cold War and beyond.

RBMA has arranged for a private, docent led tour for interested conference attendees and their families. At the completion of the one hour tour guests may continue to tour the Museum until closing at 5 p.m. (the last RBMA scheduled shuttle leaves at 11:15 a.m. so if you are staying longer, you will need to find your own transportation back to the hotel). The self-guided audio tour, the Battle of Midway theater experience, Island tours as well as the catapult and traps talks, are also available for additional cost.
The cost is $50 per person and includes round trip transportation from the Hilton San Diego Bayfront to the USS Midway.
