KEYNOTE SESSION
Providing Care From the Heart 
Patrick Combs
In this highly inspiring talk on the best practices of stellar customer care, increased loyalty and company culture that employees love, Patrick Combs will illustrate how top companies are moving the needle in today’s “connection economy” with empathy, caring, kindness, concern, trust, repair, understanding, appreciation, listening, responsiveness, passion, and yes, even love. This session will reveal how great companies aim for the customer’s heart, not just their wallet.

At the conclusion of the session, the attendee will be able to:

  • Execute a one minute technique that increases successful patient care in a busy environment.
  • Define a five step problem-solving technique that increases patient fulfillment.
  • Apply principles that create meaningful "micro-bonding” moments with patients.
  • Think outside the box to create greater “personal touch” moments.
  • Apply a simple mindfulness practice that increases “presence,” a powerful personal state.

  • The IR Trifecta: Three Key Elements for Success 
    Dianne Keen and Roman Politi, MD
    A discussion of strategies that directly involve the interventional radiologist to promote IR services in your medical community.
    At the conclusion of the session, the attendee will be able to:
    • Identify strategies used in a community radiology practice to establish and promote IR services.
    • Discuss collaborative relationships with hospitals.
    • Discuss specific interventional radiology cases well suited for promotion.
  • Non-Interpretive Side of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning 
    R. Kent Hutson, MD
    This session will cover the principles underlying artificial intelligence and machine learning – computer technologies that have made significant advancements in recent years. Examine how these technologies might impact radiology, with an eye toward the management of the business side of radiology. Discuss what questions you can ask to gain a better understanding of products that claim to use machine learning techniques.
    At the conclusion of the session, the attendee will be able to:
    • Describe the meaning of "artificial intelligence," "machine learning," and "data mining."
    • Identify the kinds of problems that can be approached with machine learning.
    • Determine how to evaluate vendors' claims of "artificial intelligence" and "machine learning" in their products.
  • Provider Resiliency in a Time of Constant Change 
    Rebecca Parker, MD, FACEP
    Are practices noting the impact of workflow and industry changes on the stress level of providers within the group, and how are practices altering their current workflow, governance, manpower and technology models to adapt to the “new normal”?
    At the conclusion of the session, the attendee will be able to:
    • Describe why the burnout syndrome develops in a time of constant change and cultural upheaval.
    • List key tools for measurement and analysis.
    • Demonstrate tangible techniques practice leaders can employ to improve satisfaction and promote practice resiliency.
  • Anthem's Outpatient Imaging Site of Care Policy - Overview, Early Results and Lessons Learned
    Kevin McDermott and Daryl Edmonds
  • In this session, Anthem and AIM Specialty Health will present a detailed overview of Anthem's new imaging site of care policy. Attendees will learn about the specific criteria that are being reviewed for qualifying outpatient hospital imaging requests, what markets have been implemented and what expansion is on the horizon. Some initial results will be shared based on the first six months of the program in select markets. Presenters will also share some lessons learned on the design and implementation of the program in the various Anthem markets.

    At the conclusion of the session, the attendee will be able to:

    • Discuss the criteria and rationale for Anthem's site of care policy.
    • Visualize the initial results of the program's implementation in the early adopting markets.
    • Discuss the challenges and lessons learned in Anthem's rollout of the program

KEYNOTE SESSION
The Gold Medal Mindset: Motivation, Goal Setting & Success 
Shannon Miller 
Shannon will discuss how the gold medal mindset leads to victory on the competition floor, in the boardroom, and in our personal lives. With seven Olympic medals, Shannon utilizes her critical insight to share what it takes to be a winner: the importance of goal setting, leadership, maintaining a positive attitude, and teamwork. Through her Olympic and personal experiences, Shannon explains ways we can overcome even the most difficult obstacles standing in the way of our success. While she may not have been the most talented, flexible, or even the strongest athlete, Shannon Miller was able to utilize these concepts to become the most decorated Olympic gymnast in United States history and now... a cancer survivor!! You will leave this session empowered, motivated, and inspired.

At the conclusion of the session, the attendee will be able to:

  • Define what it means to employ the gold medal mindset.
  • Identify similarities in successful elite athletes and successful business professionals
  • Recognize traits in others that make them good leaders or team players
